One day in the life of a milanese foodie: Caterina Zanzi

My morning often starts at Panini Durini. It’s the perfect place for a breakfast and a bite during the day. In addition to sandwiches, also try the sweet treats such as croissants and cakes. The matcha latte is among the best in the whole city!

My favourite specialty coffee bar? Milano Roastery, a recently opened restaurant in the Porta Romana area where you can enjoy a good cup of coffee. So many blends to choose from and every month there is something new. If you have to study or work, no problem: you can stay a little longer in front of a steaming cup!

After a long day at work, there is nothing better than an aperitif from Signorvino: in the heart of Milan, right in front of the Duomo. Signorvino is the ideal place to enjoy a priceless view while sipping a glass of wine. Together with a glass (or bottle) you can also order small treats like the "arrosticini" and the platters of meats and cheeses. An extra tip? Reserve one of the tables near the windows, the view will take your breath away!

Best spot when I want a good after-dinner drink is Lacerba, a cocktail bar in via Orti, between Crocetta and Porta Romana. It's always crowded but a well-kept restaurant; crazy and hyper-fueled drinks are served from the bar. My favourite cocktail is the 'Maria Lacerba', a spicy Bloody Mary that turns the evening!
